We had a closer look at issues surrounding the soon-to-arrive wave of Syrian refugees today. Amnesty member Sebastien Nemeth, Gord Barnes and Jim Hutchings spoke with Hany Al Molya, a Syrian student, photographer and former refugee about his experiences leaving his native Syria, living in a refugee camp in Lebanon and his good fortune at being allowed to come to Canada.

She is a specialist in Iranian literature and cinema, a writer and a poet. Dr. Shidmehr explains what she will be doing as Writer in Residence at RPL in addition to her own projects.

Today Jim Hutchings talked with Brad Bellegarde and Naomi Beingessner about the Community Based Research Showcase being held November 5 and 6. Brad is on the committee that organized "Decolonizing Media", the opening event being held Thursday November 5 at the Royal Sask Museum at 7pm. The Community Based Research Showcase continues on Friday at the Al Richie community centre from 8:30am to 4pm. Naomi organized the Showcase and explains what community based research is all about.
