July16/10 Mike Medby and Garson Hunter were both attending the G20 protests in Toronto, (as did show hosts Mona Hill and Jim Hutchings), but both of them got close enough to the action to be detained (Mona and Jim did not). We get a first hand look at the behaviour of Police in their handling of the large crowds. There are lessons to be learned.

May 28/10 Suzanna Deranger talks about the support group, "Peruvians before Profits", which is trying to support the indigenous people who have been violently suppressed by local authorities in Peru for protesting the actions and lack of consultation by Canadian owned mining companies on indigenous traditional lands. It turns out there is a strong parallel to Canadian Mining company behaviour here in Canada. Suzanna has had personal experience with that.
