On Friday March 8, Gordon Barnes and Jim Hutchings spoke with Dana Folkersen of Regina Education and Action on Child Hunger (REACH) about Food Security as it relates to child hunger in our own community and across our country. Think we're too rich and advanced a country to have a problem like this? Think again. We talk about the causes of child hunger and why we need to find ways to prevent this problem. We also talk about what is being done and how it helps children achieve their potential in school and improve their lives.

On Friday February 8th, Human Rights Radio spoke with Crystal Geisbrecht of the Provincial Association of Transition Houses and Services of Saskatchewan (PATHS) and Haris Khan, University of Regina student and professional standup comedian about the problem of Domestic Violence in Saskatchewan and how the comedy show benefit on February 10 was conceived and organized.

We were able to chat with performance artists, Shawna Dempsey and Lorri Millan from Winnipeg and Mikiki from Toronto. Conversation ranged from day jobs to where the ideas come from for performances and what we can expect to see this weekend at "Performatorium" in Regina.

On Friday Dec 28, Brian Broqueza, Gord Barnes, and Jim Hutchings talked about Regina Group 91 Amnesty events as well as Human Rights issues around the world. We touched on "Idle no More" the protest in response to the massive changes to aboriginal treaty rights being forced into law by the Canadian Government's omnibus Bill 45. We also talked about Attawawpiskat Chief Theresa Spence's hunger strike to start a meaningful dialogue with Prime Minister Harper about Treaty Rights. We also talk about good news stories as well in which, sometimes after 10 years or more of prodding authorities with letter writing and other methods, positive results are achieved for victims of human rights abuses.

On Dec 21, members of the Social Justice class of Campus Regina Public interviewed Hirsch Greenberg about homelessness in Saskatchewan. We discover that it would be less expensive and more effective to provide housing, health care and other support for homeless people rather than have them dealt with by emergency services and the justice system. This support would give homeless people what they need to improve their lives and contribute to society.
