Residential School Survivors

On January 7, 2011, Human Rights Radio spoke with Ken Ward, Resolution Health Support Worker with All Nations Hope AIDS Network.  Ken is a residential school survivor and is here to talk about the issues around the Truth and Reconciliation process that is happening now in which victims like himself are given the opportunity to share their experiences and to make application for compensation for the human rights violations which were a common feature of the residential schools as administered by church and government.  This is the first of a three part series.  Next month we will speak with Ken about the issues around HIV and AIDS in the aboriginal community.
