Regina Anti-Poverty Ministry

Today, Jim Hutchings spoke with Peter Gilmer, an Anti-Poverty activist with the Regina Anti-Poverty Ministry.  The United Nations Declaration on Human Rights specifically names adequate housing and food as human rights to which every person is entitled.  In Canada there are many instances in which both parents in a family with children work at jobs paying minimum wage and are unable to meet the basic needs of the family.  We talk about possible solutions, progress that has been made and what needs to be done.  We'll give you a hint.....contact your local representatives and urge them to give this problem the attention it deserves.
