Looking back at 2012

On Friday Dec 28, Brian Broqueza, Gord Barnes, and Jim Hutchings talked about Regina Group 91 Amnesty events as well as Human Rights issues around the world.  We touched on "Idle no More" the protest in response to the massive changes to aboriginal treaty rights being forced into law by the Canadian Government's omnibus Bill 45.  We also talked about Attawawpiskat Chief Theresa Spence's hunger strike to start a meaningful dialogue with Prime Minister Harper about Treaty Rights.  We also talk about good news stories as well in which, sometimes after 10 years or more of prodding authorities with letter writing and other methods, positive results are achieved for victims of human rights abuses.
